Once you’ve submitted a dispute letter through Kikoff, we send your dispute letter to the relevant credit bureaus, depending on which bureau(s) each item is reported to. The credit bureaus will then review your dispute and investigate the information you’ve flagged as incorrect.
-
Outcome of the Dispute:
- If the bureau finds that the information is incorrect, they will remove or correct it from your credit report.
- If the information is verified as accurate, the dispute will be closed and the item will remain on your report.
- This process typically takes:
- 30-45 days for disputes with TransUnion.
- 45-60 days for disputes with Equifax and Experian.
Once the investigation is complete, you’ll receive an update from Kikoff on the status of your dispute. If the item was corrected, it will reflect on your credit report. If not, you can choose to dispute it again or review any additional steps.
