When you submit a dispute letter through Kikoff, we forward it to the credit bureaus that report the specific item(s) in question. The credit bureaus will then review your dispute and investigate the information you’ve identified as inaccurate.
If the bureau confirms the item is incorrect, it will be updated or removed from your credit report. If they determine it is accurate, the dispute will be closed and the item will remain as is.
Please keep in mind that the review process takes around 45-60 days. There is also a $1 mailing fee for each dispute sent to Equifax.
